Terms of Service

In effect from 13 August 2026. This is version 1.0.

ToolOXX is a Discord bot and a web dashboard, run by one person as a personal project. These terms describe what you can expect from it and what it expects from you. They are written to be read, not to be skimmed past, so they are shorter than most.

1. Who runs this

ToolOXX is built and operated by ryo2321, an individual developer based in the Netherlands. It is not a company, and there is no team behind it. Everything below refers to that one operator as "we" only because the alternative reads strangely.

You can DM me on Discord if you have any questions. Reports about abuse, data requests and anything urgent all go to the same place, and normally get an answer within a few days.

2. Agreeing to these terms

Adding ToolOXX to a Discord server, or using any of its commands, means you accept these terms. If you administer a server and add the bot to it, you are also accepting them on behalf of that server, and you are the one responsible for telling your members that the bot is there and what it does.

You also have to keep to Discord's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Where those conflict with anything here, theirs win. Discord's minimum age applies as well, which is 13 in most countries and higher in some.

3. What the bot is, and what it is not

ToolOXX is free. There is nothing to buy, no subscription, and no advertising. It is hosted on a single small server, maintained in someone's spare time, and offered exactly as it is on the day you use it.

That means a few honest limitations. There is no uptime guarantee. Features can change, be replaced, or be taken away, sometimes without warning. Data can be lost to a bug or a failed migration, and while backups are taken, they are not a promise. If any of that would be a serious problem for your server, ToolOXX is the wrong tool for it.

The moderation features are tools, not decisions. Filters, warnings, timeouts and bans do what the server's own moderators configure them to do. Responsibility for how they are used stays with the people running the server.

4. Using it fairly

Things that will get access withdrawn, without much discussion:

Using the bot to harass, threaten, impersonate or target anybody.
Automating requests to the bot or its API beyond ordinary use, including scripted command spam or scraping the dashboard endpoints.
Deliberately abusing the levelling system to inflate a rank, whether that is self-botting, alt accounts or a channel that exists purely to generate messages.
Looking for holes in the API, the dashboard session handling or the server itself. If you find something, tell us instead. That is genuinely appreciated and gets fixed.
Feeding illegal content through any feature that stores text, which in practice means story lines and custom commands.

We can remove the bot from a server, delete content, or block an account from using ToolOXX at any time, for any of the above or for anything else that makes the bot a problem for other people.

5. What you write through it

Story lines, custom commands and quotes are your words, and they stay yours. By writing them through ToolOXX you allow us to store and display them where the feature is meant to display them: in Discord, and on the dashboard for the server they belong to.

You are responsible for what you write, and so is the server it was written in. Anything can be removed on request, and anything that breaks Discord's rules or the law will be removed whether or not it is requested.

6. Abysscoins, levels and the shop

Abysscoins are a number in a database. They are not currency, they have no value, they cannot be bought, sold, transferred outside the bot or converted into anything real, and no ownership of them exists in a legal sense.

Levels, medals, coins, inventory and rankings can be adjusted, corrected or reset. That happens for a reason, usually a season reset, a fix to a scoring bug, or someone caught inflating their count. There is no compensation when it does, because there was nothing of value to compensate.

7. Third party services

Some features work by asking somebody else. Stream alerts talk to Twitch, the osu! commands talk to the osu! API, visual novel lookups talk to VNDB, music playback pulls audio from YouTube, and optional server verification uses Google reCAPTCHA. Those services have their own terms, and their availability is not something we control. When one of them goes down or changes, the feature that depends on it stops working.

8. Liability

ToolOXX is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, lost time, disrupted servers, moderation actions taken by the bot at a server's configuration, or anything that follows from the bot being unavailable.

Nothing here limits liability for intentional harm or gross negligence, because it cannot. If you are a consumer in the EU, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything in this document.

9. Ending it

You can stop at any time by removing the bot from your server, or by asking for your data to be deleted. We can withdraw access at any time, and can also stop running ToolOXX entirely. If that happens, we will say so on this site with as much notice as is practical.

10. Changes, and which law applies

These terms will change as the bot does. The version number and the date at the top of this page always reflect the current version, and meaningful changes get a note in the patch notes on the front page. Continuing to use ToolOXX after a change means accepting the new version.

Dutch law applies, and disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer law in your own country gives you somewhere better.
